Expose 2024
EXPOSE 2024 marks the revival of the original EXPOSE window galleries, first introduced at the Contemporary Arts Center (CAC) in 2011. This unique exhibition transforms the CAC's iconic display windows along Camp and St. Joseph Streets into a vibrant public art space, making contemporary art accessible to all.
The exhibit features new works by seven acclaimed local artists who have left a significant mark on the New Orleans art community:
Kai Barrow, Pippin Frisbie-Calder, Keith Calhoun, Chandra McCormick, Milagros Collective, Macon Reed, and Meg Turner
These artists have exhibited at the CAC over the past decade, and EXPOSE 2024 highlights their ongoing contributions to contemporary art. The diverse range of work on display reflects the cultural depth and creative energy that defines the New Orleans art scene.
Curated by the CAC's programming committee—comprised of staff and Emeritus members of the CAC's Board of Trustees—the exhibition brings together a rich collection of perspectives, blending elements of history, social justice, environmental activism, and personal narratives. By revitalizing the EXPOSE window galleries, EXPOSE 2024 reaffirms the CAC's commitment to engaging the public with free, accessible art while honoring the institution's longstanding legacy.
Through dynamic visual storytelling, the exhibition invites both locals and visitors to pause, reflect, and engage with art in an unexpected setting. This bold initiative transforms the streetscape, creating an open gallery where the city's creative voices come to life.
Special thanks to Susan and Ralph Brennan, longtime friends of the CAC, for their generous support in making EXPOSE 2024 possible.
