About CAC Teen Board

The CAC's Teen Board engages New Orleans area high school students to serve on a museum board and participate in a series of professional development and skill workshops from top arts administration professionals in New Orleans and beyond.

CAC Teen Board you meet every other Saturday afternoon with other high school students from around the city to drive artistic content at the CAC and gain vauable arts administration experience alongside industry professionals, from the curation of exhibitions, to marketing, budgeting, and much more!

Putting these new skills to the test, Teen Board members will curate an exhibition in Spring 2021, along with a host of public programming directed at teen audiences. The Teen Board aims to provide youth the freedom, structure, and professional knowledge to be agents and decision-makers in their artistic communities.

The Teen Board will meet 20 times, every other Saturday, from September to June, will complete at least three workshops taught by arts administration professionals, and will visit five artists’ studios this year. The program will be adapted online to address social distancing requirements as necessary.
