Lecture by kai lumumba barrow

Date
Sunday Jul 2, 2023
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

Please join us this Sunday, July 2nd at 12pm for Radical Imaginations Beyond Carceral Borders, a lecture by kai lumumba barrow. As a visual artist and social-movement organizer for over 40 years, barrow experiments with abolition as an artistic vernacular, siting her work in traditional and non-traditional spaces to transgress ideological, geographic, and carceral borders. This Sunday, we invite you to engage your radical imagination with barrow as part of the closing weekend of the Undoing Time exhibition.

The lecture will be held in the Black Box Theater. Admission is free for all Louisiana residents every Sunday, courtesy of The Helis Foundation’s Art for All initiative. Gallery tickets may be reserved in advance or at the door.
