Mission

The Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans is committed to artists, the presentation of multidisciplinary work, and advancing the value and power of the art of our time.

Vision

The Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans is a touchstone for Contemporary Art in New Orleans and the Gulf South, enhancing connections between artists and communities and providing a forum for ideas and the exploration of a just society through artistic creation, public engagement, and institutional practice.

Programs

The CAC's programs aim to support local and regional artists, provide opportunities for learning and creative expression for area teens, and to advance dialogue around key issues that impact our community and the art of our time.

Artwork Submissions:
Annually, the CAC accepts applications for the Gulf South Open Call and for Artist Residencies. To be notified of upcoming submission dates, subscribe to our mailing list by entering your email address at the bottom of this page. Please note that the CAC does not accept unsolicited exhibition or performance proposals and is a non-collecting institution.

Events:
The CAC is New Orleans’ premiere venue for memorable events and celebrations. Host your event at the CAC by submitting an inquiry here.

Jobs:

Tours: The CAC offers educational tours for individuals and groups. These tours provide visitors with a deeper understanding of the current exhibitions, as well as the history and mission of the center. To schedule a tour, email Emily Brannan.
