I am an attorney, choreographer, dancer, and writer. I firmly believe that the arts should be held as a public trust for the benefit, service and inspiration to communities. My work and implementation of artistic presentations and programs are both artistic expressions serving as the embodiment of beauty, pleasure, and inspiration and equally important as processes for the analyses, criticisms and explanations of the theories of Black art, and specifically Black dance traditions. I founded Tekrema Center for Art and Culture, an organization dedicated to African and African Diaspora art and culture. There is no glory or money in this work. It is my purpose.
