Chris Berntsen

Chris Berntsen is a New Orleans/New York based artist. His photography explores themes related to queerness, intimacy, and time. In addition to exhibition photography Berntsen also creates time-based projection works. His work has been exhibited at MoMA PS1, New York, Aperture Foundation, New York, The Ogden Museum of Southern Art, New Orleans, and the Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans. He has been working closely with photo conceptual artist Hank Willis Thomas for nearly ten years. The artist received a BFA from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
