Maria Lino is a multidisciplinary Cuban-born American visual artist who currently lives in Miami, Florida. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Studio Art from New York University, and a Master of Fine Arts from Florida International University. She is a Fulbright US Scholar (Peru, 2011), and a two-time recipient of the Oscar B. Cintas Fellowship. Using drawing, printmaking, text, video, textiles, dance collaborations, as well as collaborative performances, her art creates individual and group portraits of those who are often overlooked, such as women, children, people with disabilities, migrants and immigrants. Maria has exhibited her work in solo and group exhibitions both in the United States and abroad.
