Langston Allston is a New Orleans-based artist striving to make work that presents honest and clear narratives about the world around him. While much of Allston's work focuses on his life in and around New Orleans, he has completed public projects and murals across the country. Allston continues to refine his work through careful communication and research, including his current site-specific installation at the CAC. This work was created through conversations with CAC teen internship participants in an effort to represent their visions and concerns regarding the future of New Orleans. Allston recently completed a residency with the National Public Housing Museum in Chicago, culminating in a series of large-scale drawings that told stories of public housing residents.
