5 Directors. 20 Actors. 5 Plays. 24 Hours!

The Teen 24-Hour Theater Festival is a theatrical experiment created for, and by, New Orleans teens. High school students can sign up to be directors, actors, playwrights, costumers, or prop/set designers who will work to create a 5-play theater festival in only 24 hours. Sounds crazy? It is!
On the evening of Friday, January 1st, all teen participants will gather to choose the festival's theme and go over the rules. Overnight, our 5 teams of playwrights will write their plays, and submit them to our directors and actors the following morning. Working with local, professional theater-makers, teens will work to produce their plays until 7 pm on Saturday, January 2nd, when the show opens to the public!
Participation is free and first come-first served.
