Drawing from P.4 artist Kiluanji Kia Henda’s photo meditations on the legacy and future of former colonial monuments in Angola, the CAC will host the New Orleans based project Paper Monuments and provide materials for written, illustrated and sculpted Public Proposals to reimagine a future for our own city’s monuments.

This evening debuts a new monthly series, Collected Stacks, that will feature a book selection curated by a local artist. This month, artist Peter Hoffman shares selections from his book collection.

During this intergenerational conversation, Stephanie McKee Anderson, Asali DeVan Ecclesiastes, Shana griffin, Raelle Myrick-Hodges, Logan Magee, and Sunni Patterson, gather around a kitchen table to discuss black womanhood through the lens of hair.
