“...like a crazy dream you just can’t shake. At the center of it all, there’s a furious little heart that pumps equal parts vitriol and grace.” —The Boston Globe
A haunting performance that fuses dance and live vocals, Clear & Sweet integrates Sacred Harp Singing—a living form of spiritual a capella choral singing that is passed down over many generations. Voices meld textured layers of a single melody to form a unified song. Interspersed throughout the audience, singers collectively breathe their song amongst viewers, and bring sound to life in an immersive physical and visual convergence, blurring the line between “performer” and “observer.”
