Naima Shalhoub is a Lebanese Arab-American composer, vocalist, musician, restorative justice practitioner and educator based in Oakland, CA. In addition to performing in nationally acclaimed venues in the United States and tours abroad, she weaves her music with healing social justice work inside prisons, juvenile halls and jails, schools and universities, community centers. Her first record titled and recorded “Live in San Francisco County Jail” was covered by AJ+, Upworthy, KQED for the weekly year-long music sessions that preceded the live concert. Her debut studio album “Siphr”—a 2.5 year project—was released during quarantine August, 2020. Naima plans to continue releasing Siphr in 2021 with several upcoming projects.
