How can I check my membership status?

When will I receive my membership card?

Please allow two to three weeks to receive your membership card. If you would like to visit before your new card arrives, you can show your ID at the front desk and a staff member can look you up in our system.

How many membership cards do I receive?

You will receive one card for each membership with up to two members listed. If you would like to receive more than one card, there is a $5 fee. To request another card, please call the CAC Front Desk at 504.528.3805 Monday – Sunday from 9am – 5pm.

Why am I not getting the CAC member discount when I buy tickets online? 

To activate member discount, you must be registered and signed in (see links at top of ticket page) before checkout. Add your order to your cart to see your discount. Register and sign in using the name and email address associated with your membership. Call 504.528.3805 or email for assistance. 

Can family or friends use my membership card?

Memberships are not transferable, but you may add another person to your membership at the Family/Couple level and above.

What should I do if I lose my membership card?

Please contact the CAC Front Desk at 504.528.3805 Monday – Sunday from 9am – 5pm to request a replacement card. There is a $5 fee to replace your card. If you do not replace your card, you can continue to take advantage of your membership benefits by presenting your ID at the Front Desk.

How do I use my Guest Passes?

All CAC Members at the Individual level and above receive Guest Passes to the CAC for admission to the following:

  • Exhibitions
  • White Linen Night Afterparty
  • Members-Only Events

You will not receive printed Guest Passes. Guest Passes are issued electronically and redeemed in person at the CAC Front Desk. To use Guest Passes, just let the staff member at the Front Desk know how many you would like to use and you will receive complimentary admission for your guest(s).

How can I receive reciprocal museum benefits?

All CAC members at the Collectors Club level and above are eligible for special benefits at 50+ participating Modern and Contemporary Museums across the country. A valid Mod/Co logo on your current membership card(s) allows you to enjoy free admission to the Mod/ Co museums and other selected benefits. See a list of all participating institutions HERE.

How many Performance Passes do I receive?

CAC members at the Collectors Club level and above receive Performance Passes to attend CAC performances for free.

  • Collectors Club – 2 Performance Passes
  • Patron Now – 4 Performance Passes
  • Silver Circle – 6 Performance Passes
  • President’s Council – 8 Performance Passes
How do I use my Performance Passes?

To redeem your passes, please call to reserve tickets for the performance with the CAC Box Office at 504.528.3800. In the event that you have to cancel your reservation, you may use your pass for a future date and/or performance.

Can I pay for my membership in installments?

Yes. Installment plans are available for Sustaining Memberships. Please contact the membership office at or 504.508.3805 Monday – Friday from 9am – 5pm for more information.

Can I pay for my membership through a charitable trust, foundation, or donor-advised fund?

Absolutely. Just make sure the corresponding paperwork has your name on it and check any tax implications with your adviser.
