Sarrah Danziger (b. 1987, Woodstock, New York) holds a BFA in Photography from SVA. Her work has been featured in Bust, Wussy Mag, Rolling Stone, Newsweek, American Songwriter, and the Wall Street Journal. Through photographing mainly her friends for the last 16 years (8 of which have taken place in New Orleans), Danziger has explored what it means to me to be defined as a woman and what she has discovered to be the actual diversity within that historically limiting binary. Employing themes of mythology, gender, and magical realism, Danziger uses the camera as a tool for this exploration and for a greater understanding of herself and those around her. Learn more:
