Robust Moribund & the Charnel House is Basqo Bim’s first solo museum exhibition.

Dancing Grounds (DG) and the Contemporary Arts Center (CAC) present the Dance for Social Change (DSC) Rhythms of Recovery. The 2024 Dance for Social Change (DSC) Festival is a three-day event, led by New Orleans youth, that serves as the culmination of the DSC Teen Company’s year of analyzing how violence impacts young people and the differences between coping and healing from violence. Throughout the week, there will be various wellness resources, movement classes, performances, and more! The DSC Teen Company will also premiere their new multi-disciplinary work, Rhythms of Recovery, that speaks on the ways New Orleans youth envision what healing looks like for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Artivism Dance Theatre's latest work highlights marginalized movement styles in an immersive and interactive dance experience. We lift up styles and subcultures that are undervalued and thus underrepresented and unacknowledged. The immersive experience leads the audience through a journey of community centered dance, highlighting movements of the African diaspora and their relationship with New Orleans' history and artistry. In this work, Artivism seeks to redefine what we consider valuable within our own dance community through a communal engagement of movement. We hope that through this performance we can generate a deeper understanding of the important place that dance holds in our community.
