Elijah Burgher,
A Hex On The Living Death Culture Pact
Elijah Burgher is a Chicago based artist whose work heavily incorporates the use of ritual and sigil magick into his practice. Often his work deals with queer identity and desire. For "Notes On The Application of Magick To Visual Art," Burgher will discuss the history of magick as its related to the arts citing examples such as Brion Gysin and William Burroughs' use of cut-ups to discover occult meaning.
This lecture is hosted by the CAC in conjunction with Press Street's Antenna Gallery as part of the show, Spaces. Click here to visit the Antenna Gallery website.
