This annual rite of fall has become one of the hottest events of the year for art lovers and party-goers in and around New Orleans. The free citywide gallery hop marks the opening of the city's arts season and is New Orleans' largest arts event of the year.

Citywide Art Openings - 6-9pm, Free

The citywide gallery opening celebration features over 40 art openings at galleries and businesses throughout Magazine St., the French Quarter, the New Orleans Arts District and additional locations around New Orleans. Gallery listings will be posted soon.

"Spotlight on Julia & the New Orleans Arts District" Street Party - 6-9pm, Free

Features art gallery openings and receptions, plus an outdoor block party (300-600 blocks Julia St.). with video and interactive art installations by FutureProof G.A.S. (Generic Art Solutions), Tina Stanley and other New Orleans artists. Plus Cash bars and cuisine by Crepes a la Cart, Nirvana Indian Cuisine, Stop 9, Sun Ray Grill and other local restaurants will be available.

CAC Celebration and Official Afterparty - 6pm-midnight

Enjoy art in the CAC galleries, plus music by United Postal Project and a special Music of New Orleans Series concert with Bonerama (beginning at 9pm). Cuisine by 5Fifty5 and drinks will be available for purchase. CAC Party Admission: $10 . Free for CAC members.
