The Arts Funds of The Helis Foundation advance access to the arts for the community through contributions that sustain operations for, provide free admission to, acquire works of art, and underwrite major exhibitions and projects of institutions within the Greater New Orleans area.

Find Your Future in Arts Education!

Build your practice with a community of teaching artists. The Contemporary Arts Center is proud to announce the second Teaching Artist Institute in New Orleans—a collaboration including KID smART, Ashé Cultrual Arts Center, Artist Corps New Orleans, Ogden Museum of Southern Art, New Orleans Museum of Art, City of New Orleans, and the CAC.

The New Orleans Teaching Artist Institute seeks artists of all levels, artistic disciplines, and curriculum specialties who aspire to improve their teaching skills and employment opportunities with leading arts education organizations. Artists of diverse cultural backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply.

Participants will

• Attend an intensive, three-day workshop

• Receive expert instruction and coaching in sessions such as Artist as Educator, Lesson Design, Crafting Objectives, Arts Integration, Safe Studio, Teaching to All Learners, and more

• Receive a certificate upon three-day program completion

• Meet potential employers and learn about community resources
