The Music of New Orleans Concert Series celebrates the many diverse musical traditions of New Orleans, from modern interpretations of traditional jazz to rousing gospel choirs.

The CAC developed this series in 2005 based on the desire to see New Orleans' musicians return to the city, post-Hurricane Katrina. Since then, nearly 100 performers have been featured on the stage of the CAC's Freeport-McMoRan Theater, and over 35 of these artists were able to be flown in from outside of Louisiana and housed.
