Join us on the Second Thursday of each month for an evening of programs designed to enhance your appreciation of contemporary art and artists.

Meet the Maker – 6-7:30pm, Atrium

Throughout the season, join us as we highlight some of the best local breweries and distilleries. Meet the makers and sample a swig of their most desirable creations.

Pop Up – 6-9pm, The Stacks Bookstore & Cafe  

Join Mardi Gras Trash’s new pop-up/installation at The Stacks Bookstore. New tee-shirt designs, exclusive new colors, free grigio, and good vibes! The install will run until Sunday, December 17.

Members Only – 6-9pm, Lobby

Get 20% off gift memberships & member discounts on limited edition prints commissioned exclusively for the CAC. Join/Gift at the Collectors Club level and above to receive the 2017-18 print and an additional print from previous editions. Artwork pick-up available for current members at the Collectors Club level and above. All CAC members enjoy a complimentary drink at the bar. 

Teens Only – 6-7pm, Presidents Resource Center

Did you know that the CAC is free for high school students? Stop by the Presidents Resource Center to make some art, meet other young artists, and discover the CAC’s teen programs. Supplies and snacks provided.

Galley Tour and Conversation – 6-7pm, The Helis Foundation First Floor Gallery

Educators are invited to participate in this special gallery tour of Prospect.4: The Lotus in Spite of the Swamp with Jennifer Williams, Prospect.4 Deputy Director for the Public Experience. Teachers who attend will have an opportunity to receive a special Educator’s Guide and information on field-trip opportunities.

Conversation – 7-8:30pm, Theater

Allison Glenn, Manager of Publications and Curatorial Associate for Prospect.4​, and Lauren Domino, Independent Producer​,​ come together to discuss Kahlil Joseph’s short ​film, Wildcat (Aunt Janet) (2016), presented by the artist for the Prospect.4 Triennial. The film, scored by experimental producer Flying Lotus, ​centers on rodeo performers in Grayson, Oklahoma; a town defined, similar to New Orleans, by narratives of community created through the intersection of an Indigenous way of life and the​ Black ​Diaspora​. ​Wildcat is on view through February 25, 2018, at the Prospect.4 Welcome Center and Gallery, 750 Carondelet, New Orleans, LA.
