When will I receive my membership card?

Please allow up to a month to receive your membership card. If you would like to visit before your new card arrive - as long as we have received your dues - you can show your ID at the front desk and a staff member can look you up in our system.

How can I check my membership status?

You can check your membership status by calling the CAC at 504.528.3805 or email the Membership Office at nclemens@cacno.org.

How can I use my guest passes when I visit the CAC?

Members at the Individual level and above receive guest passes annually.

Guest passes can be used for free admission to the following:

  • CAC Galleries
  • CAC White Linen Night Afterparty
  • CAC Art for Arts’ Sake
  • Members-Only Events

To use guest passes, just let the staff member at the front desk know how many you would like to use and you will receive complimentary admission for your guest(s).

Can family or friends use my membership card?

Memberships are not transferable. You may add another person to your membership at the Family/Couple level and above.

How can I receive reciprocal museum benefits?

All CAC members at the Collectors Club level and above are eligible for special benefits at 50+ participating Modern and Contemporary Museums across the country. A valid Mod/Co logo on your current membership card(s) allows you to enjoy free admission to the Mod/ Co museums and other selected benefits. See a list of all participating institutions HERE.

How do I use my performance passes?

CAC members at the Collectors Club level and above receive Performance Passes to attend CAC performances for free. To redeem your passes, please call to reserve tickets for the performance with the CAC Box Office at 504.528.3800. In the event that you have to cancel your reservation, you may use your pass for a future date and/or performance.

Can I pay for my membership in installments?

Yes. Installment plans are available for Sustaining Memberships. Please contact the membership office at nclemens@cacno.org or 504.508.3805 for more information.

Can I pay for my membership through a charitable trust, foundation, or donor-advised fund?

Absolutely. Just make sure the corresponding paperwork has your name on it.

How can I update my contact information?

You may call the CAC front desk at 504.528.3805 between 9am and 5pm Monday - Friday or contact the Membership Office at nclemens@cacno.org.

What should I do if I lose my membership card?

Please contact the Membership Office at 504.528.3805 or nclemens@cacno.org to request a replacement card. There is a $5 fee to replace your card. If you do not replace your card, you can continue to take advantage of your membership benefits by presenting your ID at the Front Desk.
