Mary Lou Uttermohlen (b. 1962, West Virginia) is a commercial and fine art photographer based in New Orleans. Her works-in-progress include  "Structure Out of Chaos: Shantytowns of America's homeless " and "Spiritual YaYa". The latter is a documentary about the spirituality of New Orleans and a print from that series is included in this exhibition. She was an adjunct professor of photography at The Ohio State University, The Columbus College of Art and Design and Loyola University in New Orleans, LA. Uttermohlen earned two individual artist fellowships, one was from the Greater Columbus Arts Council and the second from the State of Florida. Her work is in several collections including the New Orleans Museum of Art and the American Embassy in Moscow, Russia.
